Denouncement

In early 2014 we started talks with Jeff Monson describing what we were going organize, asking him to support our effort with his participation. We agreed that he would organize MMA seminars during the two days of matches and that he would participate in the events - discussions that would precede the fights as he wished. The only thing he asked for was for us to cover his travel expenses and provide lodgings in our city during his stay.

One day prior to the seminars that had already been arranged during the tournament, he informed us that due to a family emergency he would not be able to attend.

Seeing as our assembly had already paid the cost of his tickets (a return USA-Greece flight), he proposed to carry out the seminars we had agreed upon at another time, as he told us he had purchased open date flight tickets. So, we agreed that the seminars would be held on December 14. This time, while we were awaiting his final ok on the date he had proposed, he suddenly ceased all communication with us, without even taking the trouble to provide an excuse. He did not respond to our request that the assembly's funds be returned, seeing as the agreement had been cancelled at his own fault.

We strongly condemn the unacceptable and uncomradely, to say the least, behavior of "comrade" Jeff Monson, who used his "anarchist" profile to abuse movement funds. Antifa Tournament wants nothing to do with the gentleman in question and with anyone else who wishes to take advantage of this event and the people of the antifascist movement for their own personal gain.

It takes more than a few tattoos and some television interviews for someone to become a comrade.
